Swan Global Investments Interview 1

This is the first of two interviews of brothers Randy and Rob Swan of Swan Global Investments re: their Defined Risk Strategy method of investing.  This strategy buys the US Equities market thru Sector ETF’s, then protects them thru the purchase of long term puts, which they hold for about a year.  The cost of this protection is designed to be reduced thru the collection of income thru option spread positions sold throughout the year.  It is available in both Separately Managed Acct’s and thru a Mutual Fund.  This is a very unique strategy that you will find to be very interesting.  As of the date of this interview, Partnervest Advisory Services did not hold an ownership position of the SDRIX mutual fund discussed during the interview.  Also, this interview is not an offer to sell SDRIX to any listener.

CMG - Opportunistic All Asset Fund of Funds

Steve Blumenthal, CEO of Capital Management Group (CMG), a third party asset manager, explains their Opportunistic All Asset Mutual Fund.  This is an actively managed, tactical strategy fund of funds that seeks to select the leaders of various markets and sectors through trend following and momentum selection.  It is a very interesting strategy, and is somewhat unique among mutual funds.
